North Carolina officials will hold a Dec. 3 meeting in Manteo to discuss a proposed 125-acre artificial reef in Albemarle Sound. The reef could use concrete and other materials from the aging Lindsay C. Warren Bridge, which is being replaced. Officials say the habitat could support fish populations and recreational fishing, though timelines and quantities remain undecided.
